We had a very comfortable time staying at this hotel. Everything was great, pleasant staff, historic location just off the main shopping area and the cathedral as well as Canterbury. The place was conveniently positioned, a minute walk from Whitefriars Shopping Centre. The restaurant had amazing food.

It was perfect and spotless hotel with incredibly nice and very pleasant staff and conveniently located directly across from the castle ruins. Also, location was particularly good and unbeatable, just 5 minutes walk from a historic gothic-style cathedral. We loved the venue and would stay here again...

Food was excellent. My daughter and baby grand daughter were with me and we all enjoyed our breakfast. Despite the baby eating slowly we felt no sense of being hurried out. The receptionist also offered to help carry our bags when we arrived.

The hotel is probably of one of the best locations in Canterbury, with a magnificent view of Canterbury castle from the windows. Rooms are nice and cozy, and comfortable to stay in.
The car park is deliberately filled with little stones, which did provide an impression that matches the castle, but it is extremely hard to walk in and out with heavy luggage.

Comfortable and in a good position - It suited us very well, and we will most probably be back next year and will choose to stay at the Castle House Hotel again. A friend was being ordained at the Cathedral and will become a priest in a similar ceremony same weekend next year. .
I think the breakfast could be improved - I couldn't find any jam ortmarmalade for my croissant - I didn't want a cooked breakfast

easy walking access to the best of canterbury's landmarks
I loved that it was just a short 10-minute stroll to the fine Canterbury Castle and only a quick 5-minute walk to the beautiful St Mildred's Church. Plus, the staff were warm and cute.

Great location! A few minutes walk from the station, yet quiet surroundings overlooking the Norman Castle ruin. Beautiful and cozy bar. English breakfast was served in a comfortable dining room. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel stuff was efficient and let us check-in even though we arrived early.

Self contained family room - 'granny flat'. Aquavision in bathroom. Very good breakfast with excellent choices. Morning Paper. Pleasant and friendly staff.
Reasonable (3 person) value for money - for small family (4) excellent value.
